Hello everyone, this is my first time posting here. I am an English Literature and Asian Studies major. I recently started collecting kakejiku, as I began to study Zen Tea Ceremony . The first two just arrived and I would like help with the translation if possible.
The information I have for the one above is as follows:
Signature (Seal) : Daitokuji Sohan Genpo (1848 – 1922)
He was a top of Monk(486th Daitokuji temple), Rinzaisect at Meiji-Taisho period. His another name was Shoun. Genpo received INKA from Nakahara Nantenbo.
For this one, this is what I have:
Signature (Seal) : Shinohara Daiyu (1939-2011)
He was the chief abbot of Eigen-ji Temple of the Rinzai sect.
Thank you in advance for your help in this.
