How do we define those 2? Are they Japanese or not? or are only Yamato people Japanese?

Linguistically all 3 seems to be different.
Ainu , Japonic, Ryukuan

Geographically all 3 seems to be different.

Ainu live Hokkaido
Ryukyuan in Okinawa
Japanese in Honshu, mainland Japan

Physically Japanese and Okinawan look completely Asian but Ainu can from mostly Asian, to some mix, to a few Jomon.

And genetically the 3 are different

Japanese people are Yayoi with tiny Jomon admixture
Ryukyan people are Yayoi with small Jomon admixture
Ainu people are intermediate but 60-65% Yayoi and 40-45% Jomon on average, some can be 80% Yayoi and some 80% Jomon

Go write a paper on it, explaining the genetic analysis that you have done, to make those conclusions.

Then come back here and post a PDF of your published paper, and we'll discuss it.

I'm Cantonese. So ethnically I'm 100% Han Chinese but genetically I'm mixture of Northern Han and Vietnamese. We do not have racial problem.

The Japanese history, ethnicity is too confusing. You guys obviously don't consider Chinese, Korean born in Japanese to be Japanese. You also discriminate against Okinawan and Ainu but you give them citizenship. You call them Japanese but they not equally treated the same.

What is true Japanese? a Yamato ? I used to like Okinawan girls, there are many Okinawan actresses but now seeing how Japanese treat them I think twice about looking at them as Japanese.

Anyway Japanese people is confusing especially with the history of Jomon. Some reconstruction of Jomons look like Southeast Asian or Amerindian, other Jomon look almost like Caucasian. I don't understand.

Ainu are subject to discrimination for the way they look but on the hand many Ainu here look 100% Asian.

It seems to me the old generation Ainu population look like 50/50% Ainu-Asian but the
young and new generation look 90% Asian.

While my friend is Chinese American but 1/4 White but is not treated as true Chinese because of her latin look.

Which shows you have some truly serious psychological issues, my friend.

How can you be 100% han, but still a mix of north han and vietnamese?!?!?!

Maybe pretzel logic?

I think you misunderstood me. I'm 100% Hong Kong Chinese. The people of Guangdong used to be inhabited by the Yue people.
After the Han conquest of that territory, they brought North Han migrants to mixed with Yue people. However that happened like 2000 years ago.

So Cantonese people don't know they have Yue ancestry but DNA shows they are intermediate between Han and Yue 40/60%. Every Cantonese identify as Chinese but every Cantonese have both Han Chinese and North Vietnamese blood. There is no idendity crisis.

Most of the people in this picture are Cantonese

Just like Japanese people are descendants of Korean/Chinese but in reality they also have Jomon admixture. Physically Japanese people look 100% Asian but that doesn't mean they are 100% the same with Korean/Chinese.

Okinawan people to me look 100% Asian but genetically they are more Jomon than Japanese. ( Although I really don't see it ).

Okinawans wish to be treated equally as a Japanese but even they get discriminated.

Don't be confused.

Genetic and ethnic identity is not the same thing.

Hong Kongers are NOT Han.

They want nothing to do with those filthy, unmannered mainlanders. They want them to go home, to leave, and never come back.

Are you Japanese or Chinese?

The problem between Hong Kong and mainlanders is simply political, but the problem between Japanese with Okinawan, Ainu is racial, ethnicity

Tibetans are not Chinese. They only be conquered by CCP in 1949.

Same with the Uyghurs in 1949 it was invaded and conquered by CCP, no way in hell they are Chinese. Like 30-50% of Uyghur look like they came out from Afghanistan, Tajikistan, South Europe.

Or "chinese" and those folks from "xinjiang"?
It's blatanly obvious the people of Xinjiang are not Asian.

YES THEY ARE NOT CHINESE...... just colonized people along with Tibetan. And it's ridiculous to claim these people as Chinese anyway.

There is the Tajiks who are 80% Caucasian and 20% Caucasian
There is the Uyghurs who are 30-65% Caucasian and 30-60% Asian
There is the Kazakhs who are 70% Asian but with 30% Caucasian admixture ( some are only 10% Caucasian)

There is also the Tajiks Pamiri, who were conquered by the Uyghurs but ironically it's incoorporated into Chinese after CCP invaded Xinjiang in 1949.

They all make up 13 million.

Tajiks, Uyghur, Kazakhs in Xinjiang

Southern Uyghurs in Kasghar and Hotan

And what percent Vietnamese (different!) are you?

Maybe you should have your DNA sequenced before you claim too much chinese heritage? You might be more Vietnamese than you know!

Wow...! So Tibet is not a part of China, it was just colonized, or "invaded" as the Tibetans might say?

Thanks for confirming that!

Hong Kong difference with China is political. With Tibetan is ethnicity, cultural. With Uyghur is racial, religion, cultural.

Japanese , Okinawan, Ainu difference is political, ethnicity, racial, geographical.

As you can see from the DNA results. All Han Chinese including Cantonese are pure Mongoloid. The only difference is Cantonese is mixture of Northern Mongoloid and Southeast Asian Mongoloid.

Han Chinese are 100% East Asian.
Mongolians are 95-99% East Asian
Kazakhs are 60-83% East Asian

Uyghur are 56 - 69% Caucasian
Tajiks are 79 - 85% Caucasian
Turkish people are 90-75% Caucasian

I'm not even from mainland China. I'm from Hong Kong. Yes. 99% of Hong Kong people will tell you Tibet and Xinjiang ( aka East Turkistan ) are not part of China.

Many Hong Kong people do not wish to be identified as Chinese but we are still ethnically 100% the same. The same with Taiwanese people. Our problem and differences are simply political not racial.

Anyway. I wish that the Japanese will stop discriminating against the Okinawan and Ainu. Either acknowledge they are different or consider them as Japanese.

Blah, blah, blah...

What would a Vietnamese half-blood like you gain from claiming to be Han?

Are you trying to prove your Han-ness?

And it would be really nice if flowers grew on Mars.

How about if FaceBook and Google and other such things are allowed into the great censorship-land of china?

You probably can't even read THIS FORUM in china. It's probably banned.

Uh, is that racist, political, religious, LGBT-ist, or what?

Are you even Japanese or some foreigner?

Why would you care if we Cantonese are mixed with ancient Yue people. We are not Han because we are mixed with ancient Yue? Are you saying that you Japanese are basically Korean/Chinese?

China is discriminating against this forum. It is banned there.

How about you, as a half-Vietnamese, stand up against that discrimination?
