Just finished a movie called "I just didn't do it", Japanese is ridiculous. 99.9% conviction rate? Srz. Even China can do better than that.

In Japan the judiciary system is not independent of the government, where judges get promoted by how many guilty verdicts they give out, there is an assumption of guilt, not innocence. You are basically convicted once you are charged.

Why would men feel safe living in Japan? You can take train which is always crowded, and be accused of a groper and spend the next few years in a Japanese prison.

How can Japan be classified as a democracy? Their political party hardly even changes, practically a single party state, it's judiciary system is non-independent, the government can "rewrite" constitution at any time etc.

Seems that Japanophiles are vocal about human rights when China is the target and turn a blind eye when Japan is the offending nation.

It's really a critical situation, actually people of this region has to take some serious steps to sort this out with great courage and patience.
