Hi everyone,
I am currently writing a short essay on "What I will let me child do/not do" for my beginner Japanese class.
I have written the following, but I feel unsure whether it makes sense:
私は母になったら、自分の子供に好きなことをさせてあげますが、毎日勉強させてほしいです。いいせいせきをとることは大事です。若い時、いつもがんばっておけば、有名な大学に入れて、あとで楽になります。
What I wish to say is:
"When I become a mother, I will let my child do what he/she wants, but I want him/her to study everyday. Getting good grades is very important. If you always try your best when you're young, you will be able to get into a famous/well-known university and then live an easy life."

I would like to know if there is a logical flow of ideas (in the way written) and if the "but I want him/her to study..." part makes sense.

Thank you SO much! Just a newbie at Japanese, but really trying to improve!

~してほしい = want someone to do
~させてほしい = want someone to allow (speaker) to do.

You did quite well, but it sounds more natural to put できれば or ほんとは before 毎日.
