Hi!

I'm chatting to a friend about her camera - she wants to try a new make - and I'm not sure how to say "try something different for a change"? 異なるブランドをやってみる? For "for a change", I found 気分転換に, but I have no clue about using it properly or if it belongs here.

And for "experiment with" I thought で実験する, but that might be a bit too literal...

I would say;
試しに違うメーカーの使ってみたら?
試しに(メーカー)変えてみたら?

~を/で試してみる is more conversational.
