I have several postcards depicting water colors of the various stations of the Enoden in Kamakura. The artist's last name is Yamada and the title of the series appears to be 'resshima no sketchi' or something along those lines. Does anyone know of this artist? I would like to learn more about him/her.

"Resshima" doesn't make sense, so you must misread it. Can you upload the Japanese title of the series or the signature of the artist?

Here are some images. Sorry that the photo of the name is upside down!

It looks like his name is Yamada 'Baku' but I'm thinking that maybe 'Baku' is a pen name, since it means 'tapir'. I've never heard of that as a Japanese name.

OMG!
Are you interesting in my dad's paintings?
I found this forum accidentally tho'
I can show you his atelier and gallery.
He was travelling around the Japan while sketching sort of flowers, plants or landscapes.
As you guys talking about his name, 獏 means just tapir.
you know what? in the ancient Chinese? legend, tapir is the animal who eats dreams.
Actually, he doesn't like his true name named by his father.
so he was given a penname himself as BAKU - He had explained for his name why he named so.
"because, I'm a person who always chasing dream"
