ah you know I just like Japanese and I am studying games development and was thinking of some future studio names and wanted something that sounded Japanese but did not mean anything offensive or odd.You wouldn't want to help us out with a little context, would you?
which may lead to some odd word huh?
Awesome, thanksNot necessarily.
What Japanese companies often do is to create/borrow a word that doesn't sound Japanese and then just write it in (usually) katakana.
What to us are "Japanese sounding" words will to the ears of Japanese speakers either sound like Yamato kotoba (Japanese vocabulary that predates the adoption of kanji, or which at least didn't derive from kanji) or they will sound like words that did derive from the borrowing of kanji. And "dousengi" very decidedly and unmistakably sounds like the latter.
We can find good examples of those kind names in J-league team names. What Japanese companies often do is to create/borrow a word that doesn't sound Japanese and then just write it in (usually) katakana.
