Do you like Japanese Ramen

Some interesting statistics on ramen shops:

都道府県別ラーメン店舗数 - とどラン

Apparently there are over 35,000 of them in Japan.

If he ate at two of them each day, every day, it would take him over 48 years to get around to them all.

Not at all Interestingly, the number of ramen shops is just slightly more than the number of gas stations:

都道府県別給油所数の推移

The prefecture with the highest per capita concentration of ramen shops has 817 shops, but just 490 gas stations.

I was surprised to see that Osaka has the fewest per capita and that there seems to be a definite regional difference in the concentration of ramen shops. Kansai people must be bored to death if they have to watch television from the Kanto area, which is largely just a never-ending stream of celebrities eating ramen.

You know the price of ramen hasn't really gone up in the last 40 years here in Japan, well maybe by 100 yen.

Life's rear view mirror often gives a distorted image.

It has pretty much doubled in the last forty years.
