Hi there, I'm coming across a problem with using したり/したりする. My book is asking me to translate the following sentences into Japanese:
1) I want to climb a mountain, go to a hot spring, etc this weekend.
This would imply the use of たい to indicate a want or aspiration but I see no way to incorporate the verb stem + たいです formula for たい and still retain the sentence structure needed for たり/たりする.
2) You must not smoke, drink beer, etc in the dormitory.
With this one Id be using ~てはいけません to indicate a strong prohibition, but as before I'm uncertain as how to incorporate it in the sentence structure of たり/たりする.
I'd appreciate any help if possible
Many thanks
