Item details

The Yokohama International Women’s Club (YIWC) was founded in 1929 at the Hotel New Grand, for the promotion of international goodwill through cultural and social activities. Today, it is a volunteer group of English-speaking Japanese and foreign women. The strength of the organization lies in its friendship. From that firm base, members reach out with charitable support for various welfare projects both in Yokohama City and around the world. On a continuing basis, YIWC is able to provide substantial help to two children’s homes and a home for the elderly. It gives us great pleasure to help enrich the lives of some of its residents.
