The Tokyo Tower (jap. 東京タワー Tōkyō Tawā) is a steel-framed television tower completed in 1958 and modelled on the Eiffel Tower in Shiba Park in the Minato district and one of the landmarks of the Japanese capital Tokyo. The tower is used to broadcast 24 television and radio programs and attracts around three million visitors a year.
