The Japanese Cultural Institute in Cologne is the representative office of The Japan Foundation in Germany. The focus of its work is on the areas of art and culture, language mediation, Japanese research and intellectual exchange as well as the dissemination of Japan-related information. In addition, the institute provides support for cultural projects related to Japan. The primary goal is to present the broadest possible spectrum of Japanese culture, to expand knowledge about Japan and, in general, to deepen friendship between countries.
