Yokohama Hakkeijima Sea Paradise (横浜・八景島シーパラダイス Yokohama Shīparadaisu) is an amusement park with an aquarium, shopping malls, a hotel, marina and amusement rides. It is located in Kanazawa-ku, Yokohama, Japan and was opened on May 8, 1993.





The Aqua Museum exhibits over 500 different varieties of fish with more than 100,000 sea creatures and is one of the largest aquariums in Japan. It features a sizeable three-story aquarium filled with thousands of tropical and freshwater fish. Visitors can walk through an undersea viewing tunnel and observe all sorts of marine creatures from beneath. Special zones are dedicated to arctic sea creatures, sea and river life, whale sharks, and the deep sea.








Access:

By train: Keihin Kyūkō Line from Yokohama Sta. to Kanazawa Hakkei Sta. (18 min.), transfer to the Seaside Line and exit at Hakkeijima Sta. (7 min.), five minutes walk from the station; alternatively JR Negishi Line from Yokohama Sta. to Shin-Sugita Sta. (20 min.), transfer to the Seaside Line and exit at Hakkeijima Sta. (18 min.)
