The Japan National Stadium (国立競技場 Kokuritsu kyōgijō) was used for the Tokyo 1964 Olympic Games as the largest stadium and is now being renovated for the Tokyo 2020 Games as a brand new stadium. Along with athletics competitions and football tournaments, the opening and closing ceremonies of the Tokyo 2020 Games will be held here. The stadium will be used for sports and cultural activities after the 2020 Games are over. In Kasumigaoka, Shinjuku, Tokyo, Japan, the Japan National Stadium (Kokuritsu kyōgijō), formerly known as the Modern National Stadium, currently called National Stadium, is a multi-purpose stadium used mainly for association football. The arena will be the main stadium for the opening and closing ceremonies, as well as the site for the 2020 Summer Olympics and Paralympics in 2021 for track and field athletics competitions.

Access: Approximately a 5-minute walk from Sendagaya Station.
