i ordered the Alice Nine DVD as a prezzie to myself for my 21st as it came out the day before my birthday. I don't have it yet and i wana watch it! i've seen on lj that ppl have been uploading scans of the book and ripping the DVD but i'm gona wait!! i wana watch it so bad but i will behave myself and wait till it arrives.

i reeeaaally hope there isn't a customs charge on it. i've had that before on a Nightmare DVD and the Vandalize album. as if it isn't expensive enough to get them...

Well, lately I've been a little busy with school. It's very interesting, though. I'm learning about electrical engineering and whatnot, and my only real complaint is that I can't learn it fast enough.

ちょっと前に深夜のケーブル局でやっていたのをみてからすごく気になっていた のが「バーバー吉野」という映画。　「かもめ食堂」や「めがね」を撮 った荻上直子という若手監督の初作だそう。

山に囲まれた小さな田舎町の話で、時代設定は現代なん だけどどこか昭和の匂いのする何だか懐かしい世界。　 この町には床屋が一つしかなくて、町の男の子達はその 床屋、「バーバー吉野」でちょっと滑稽な「吉野刈り」という髪型にして もらうのが古くからの習慣、慣わし、掟なんですよ。　 だから町の男子は皆髪型が同じｗ　この髪型、どう見て も変なんだけど、誰もそれを指摘する人はいない。　男 の子は「吉野刈り」、というのがもう当たり前で、当の 男の子達も普通に受け入れている。　でもある日、東京 から転校生がやって来るんだけど、その子はもちろん今風の髪 型なわけ。　それも茶髪ｗ　　一瞬にしてクラスの女子 の注目の的になる彼を見て、吉野刈りボーイズは気づいてしまうのです、自分達の髪型が変だとい うことに。...
